Fees

Our hourly rate is $175 and are payable by e-transfer or credit card after the completion of session. A typical session is 1 hour (60 minutes). Once we are working with a client, we can determine if shorter or longer sessions may be beneficial.

Insurance

You will be provided with a receipt after payment, which can be submitted for partial or full reimbursement from your insurance company if you have extended health coverage. All insurance companies cover different types of practitioners. Contact your insurance provider to confirm that they provide coverage for Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree (MSW, RSW). It is the client’s responsibility to confirm that they have adequate coverage prior to starting services. Services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).

Sliding Scale

The Trauma Healing Collective is passionate about social justice and increasing the accessibility of mental health support and trauma treatment. We provide a number of sliding scale spots for clients who are low-income. There is no limit on the number of sessions a client can access. This is offered on the basis of human-to-human trust, meaning that we trust clients to use these spots when they need them, and open a spot for someone else when they feel that they can financially manage the full fee.

Sliding scale spots are offered between $20-$160/hr. The client chooses a fee that will work for them to ensure therapy can be sustainable and they can choose to increase, or decrease, the fee at any time through conversation with their therapist.

No proof of income or any other documentation is required to access these spots.

*We are not currently accepting new clients to the waitlist for sliding scale therapy.
